Scope & survey
We walk the site, map what's there, and identify what's at stake — flora, fauna, weed pressure, risk — before anyone commits to a plan. Field data is collected to DELWP and regulatory standards.

ID Ecological Management delivers on-ground land management and ecological consulting across Victoria and beyond — combining rigorous science with hands-on field practice for government, industry and private landowners.
Who we are
We're a Victoria-based team of ecologists, field technicians and land managers. We pair technical expertise in flora surveys, vegetation assessment and weed ecology with the boots-on-the-ground experience to act on what we find — from project scoping to long-term stewardship.
What we do
— 01
Practical restoration works executed by experienced crews — weed control, revegetation, erosion management, track rehabilitation and ongoing maintenance contracts.
— 02
Flora and vegetation surveys, habitat assessments, management plans and permit-ready reporting — grounded in regulatory fluency and 17+ years of Victorian fieldwork.

Wonthaggi, VICHow we work
Projects don't always need both arms of what we do — but when they do, it means the team scoping the problem is the same team managing it in the long run. Less handover friction, better outcomes.
We walk the site, map what's there, and identify what's at stake — flora, fauna, weed pressure, risk — before anyone commits to a plan. Field data is collected to DELWP and regulatory standards.
Findings are translated into clear, defensible management plans — written to stand up to council, regulator and landholder scrutiny, and to guide the people doing the work.
Crews execute the plan — spraying, spot-treating, planting, mulching, fencing, signage. Every site is documented with before/after imagery and GPS-tagged work logs.
Restoration is rarely one-and-done. We offer multi-season maintenance contracts to protect the investment and keep the site trending in the right direction over years, not weeks.
